Policies and Contract Information

These are my policies on my bulldog or Frenchie pups.  If you have specific questions, please inquire.  

A $1200 non-refundable holding fee must be paid to hold your puppy. Holding fees AND any payment made, including full payment for a puppy is considered non-refundable and goes towards the purchase price of the puppy. Puppy must be paid for in full before the puppy leaves the seller’s home. Puppies will not be able to leave before 8 weeks of age. If the puppy dies while in the breeders/sellers care, buyer can choose to either be refunded their holding fee and any money paid toward the purchase price of the puppy or to have all the money paid to date put towards another puppy from the same litter (if available) or the next litter of same quality/color.

This puppy will come with: Full AKC Registration _____ Limited AKC Registration ____

*Limited/Pet registration will be given to puppies in pet homes. Limited/Pet registration will also be given to any puppy with known heart murmurs, cleft palates and/or cryptorchid testicles, inverted vulvas & umbilical hernias if one should occur in our litter and these puppies will not have breeding rights. We will do our best to detect these within our puppies prior to leaving our home but understand that sometimes these may remain undetected until well after leaving us (ex: Would be cryptorchidism).

If a puppy is sold with limited registration, said puppy is to be spayed/neutered by 12 months of age. If for some reason said puppy should become pregnant, all puppies and dam will be returned to seller, NO EXCEPTIONS. If a male puppy sold with limited registration is found to have sired a litter, said male dog will be relinquished to seller. This is a serious offense and we will enforce it.

If puppy is sold with full AKC registration, said puppy is to still be cared for and loved and considered as a loving member of the family and not just used for breeding. If puppy is a female, buyer agrees to not breed said puppy until as least 18 months of age. If puppy is a male, buyer agrees to not breed said puppy until 12 months of age.

Buyer MUST have puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of delivery or pickup. If a puppy is found to have a fatal, life altering disease during this first exam, a 2nd opinion MUST be sought IMMEDIATELY WITHIN 48 HOURS from an unrelated veterinarian who specializes in the bulldog breed. Both reports are to be submitted to the breeder/seller immediately. The failure of the 48 hour requirements will result in the cancellation of this heath guarantee no exceptions.

Your puppy will be in good physical condition at the time of pick-up. All of our puppies will come with all age-appropriate vaccines/deworming and a Health Certificate (if shipping) from our veterinarian and a seller signed copy of this contract. They will be checked for visible birth defects (such as heart murmurs, cleft palates, cryptorchid testicles, umbilical hernias, etc.) You will receive a puppy folder with vaccination records. You will also receive puppy food that the puppy is used to eating. We recommend keeping the puppies on the food that they have been eating while in our care for at least the first 3 days while in your care. If you should decide to change this food, please do so very slowly over a two-week period so not to upset the puppy’s tummy.

You promise to care for and love your new puppy throughout its entire life. If for any reason you can no longer care for your puppy/dog you are required to notify us FIRST. We do not allow any of our puppies/dogs to be rehomed, sold, given away, abandoned or taken to a shelter by their new families. Our puppies/dogs must be returned to us if you are unable to or no longer want to care for them at anytime and at the buyer’s expense. You promise to maintain all required vaccinations including DHLPP and Rabies vaccines, deworming, as well as annual Kennel Cough Prevention. You also agree to maintain monthly flea/tick prevention and monthly heartworm prevention of your choice. You also agree to provide immediate veterinary care at the buyer’s expense to any puppy/dog showing signs of illness or distress and failure to do so will render this contract null and void. Any signs of trauma, abuse or neglect will void this guarantee.

This puppy is guaranteed till 1 year of age against fatal and life altering disease which adversely affects the health of the dog. This covers kidney, heart, pancreas, spine, liver problems of a severe life threatening or altering nature that is NOT treatable. If the dog dies within this one-year time frame, the buyer will pay to have the puppy autopsied to ascertain reason of death. Buyer will provide seller with a licensed veterinarian signed death certificate as well as the autopsy report. If reason of death is congenital, the seller will replace the puppy of equal value/color when another litter occurs (with no time frame implied as we are a small hobby breeder and tend to only have 1-2 litters a year) If buyer does not adhere strictly to this rule, this health guarantee will be voided. Any signs of trauma, abuse or neglect will also void this guarantee.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS GUARANTEE

This guarantee does NOT cover what in the bulldog breeds is considered normal: “Loose” hips, Hip/Joint issues (these can be contributed to different things such as weight problems, jumping off high places, slippery floors, improper diet/nutrition, types of exercise, too much or too litter exercise, etc.) We recommend that you do not allow your puppy to run on slippery surfaces and this can affect their joints and hips. Also not covered is, Cherry eye, entropion, ectropion, stenotic or narrow nares (Pinched/collapsed nostrils), elongated/soft palates, narrow trachea, wry jaw, allergies, thyroid disfunction, and hypoglycemia.

This guarantee does NOT include kennel cough, which is common in puppies that are shipped or boarded in vets/kennels. Kenne cough is a common bacteria and, like the common cold, must run it’s course with antibiotics and any other prescribed medication by a licensed veterinarian to relieve symptoms until fully recovered. Full recovery is expected and kennel cough on its own is not life-threatening. Please consider having your puppy vaccinated against it when you have his/her booster shots done.

There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors that are NOT covered under this guarantee: allergies, skin allergies/issues including demodectic mange, sarcoptic mange, ringworm or any other mites/fungus, autoimmune disorders, and intestinal parasites including coccidia and giardia.

This guarantee does NOT cover cleft palates, hair lips, cryptorchid testicles, inverted vulvas (including excess fatty skin surrounding the vulva), nor hernias (all types) as they are not considered life threatening defects (as surgery, if needed can typically fix) and will be fully disclosed up front after their first vet visit at 6 weeks of age. These puppies will be sold as pet/limited registration with no breeding rights. Our veterinarians do their best to identify these problems prior to selling but please understand that some things such as testicles not dropping may take up to several months or even a year to identify.

NOTE: We are not responsible for Parvo, Distemper, Corona virus or any communicable diseases after 48 hours of pick-up or shipment of your puppy, as these are highly contagious diseases and they can be contracted immediately after leaving the breeder. FOR THIS REASON IT IS IMPERATIVE YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR NEW PUPPY TO THE PET STORE, PARKS, AROUND OTHER UNVACCINATED DOGS/CATS OR TO ANY COMMUNITY TYPE ENVIRONMENT UNTIL TWO WEEKS AFTER YOUR PUPPY HAS RECEIVED IT’S LAST SET OF 16 WEEK SHOTS. BUYER ALSO AGREES THAT IT IS NOT TO STOP AT A REST STOP OR GAS STATION ON THE WAY HOME FROM PICKING UP THE PUPPY TO LET THE PUPPY GO TO THE RESTROOM. GO DIRECTLY HOME.

Any physical problem which is or could be a result of injury, trauma or neglect is NOT covered under this guarantee. The parentage/pedigree is correct to the best of the seller’s knowledge. The buyer agrees not to hold the seller responsible in any manner in the unlikely event that a problem might arise from the puppy’s parentage/pedigree. We in no way guarantee the puppy to be of breeding/show quality nor that the puppy will be able to sire or mother future offspring. There is no guarantee on the size of this puppy now or as an adult.

PLEASE NOTE:

A puppy showing serious fatal or life altering congenital health defect covered under this guarantee will be replaced as follows and under the terms and conditions listed below:

*Animal must show the defect by one year of age. Seller must be notified of the problem with 48 hours of the licensed veterinarian’s determination and have TWO reports from two unassociated veterinarians stating the same problem. Buyer agrees to release their veterinarian’s records about the puppy, to us, the seller in case we need to speak directly to the vet in charge. Seller will provide a replacement puppy of equivalent value on the next litter available (with no time frame implied due to the fact that we are a small breeder and do not know when our next litter will be available)

*A puppy with a defect under this warranty must be returned with the prior permission of the seller to qualify for a replacement puppy.

*A returned puppy must be returned to the seller in good condition, other than the specific problem, at the buyers expense COMPLETE with all AKC paperwork given, as well as vaccination records proving the puppy was maintained under the care of a licensed veterinarian with all vaccines/worming/flea/tick prevention as well as heartworm prevention kept up to date. The owner will only then qualify for a replacement puppy.

*Buyer is responsible for transportation costs to and from the seller on a replacement puppy.

*No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy has been bred, spayed, neutered, altered in any way, or euthanized without the seller’s permission.

*No cash refund, in part or in full, will be given

*All vet expenses incurred by the buyer are the sole responsibility of the buyer and will in no circumstances be paid or reimbursed by the seller.

*This guarantee applies to the original puppy only and is non-transferrable to another party.

INITIAL HERE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL THE ABOVE NOTES

In case of a replacement puppy:

Replacement puppy will be on comparable quality and color. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the same exact parents of the original puppy and with no time frame implied as we are a small hobby breeder and will tend to only have 1-2 litters a year.

This contract supersedes any and all previous agreements. This contract is null and void if the terms and conditions are NOT fulfilled.

PAYMENT INFO: This puppy is not reserved until the non-refundable holding fee has been received by the seller. Holding fees should be paid by cash, venmo, or bank to bank wire transfer. All payments must be made as friends or family so that no additional fees are incurred. All holding fees or any money paid applies towards the purchase price of the puppy. Balance of purchase price is due the day of pickup in CASH ONLY.

Buyer agrees that he/she understands this contract fully, and that this contract is under the jurisdiction of the State of Illinois. By initialing and signing this agreement, this means that you, the buyer (s), are fully aware of the guarantee and that you have asked any questions prior to signing this contract and you are satisfied with the answers given and fully understand and agree to this guarantee.
