Policies and Contract Information
Here is a copy of my contract.  There is also another separate form that is at the bottom that will be included with the contract with areas to initial and sign for both parties.

This dog is sold as a Pet. Pet quality simply refers to the dog being sold as a pet and companion only.

Terms:
This dog is not being sold under co-ownership terms. Payment in full must be made prior to you taking ownership of the dog, payment is in cash, money order or certified draft.

Health Guarantee:
The seller certifies that, upon receipt, the dog is in good health and has been immunized and wormed according to the accompanying heath record of said Bulldog.

The buyer agrees to have the dog examined by your veterinarian at your expense within 3 days from date of purchase. If the veterinarian does not give the dog a clean bill of health, buyer must notify the seller immediately. Seller reserves the right to have the dog re-examined by our veterinarian at our cost. Any condition that is minor, correctable, or a breed related minor condition is not covered. Any condition which will not go away, or is considered to be a condition which a puppy will not likely grow out of is covered.
If the dog is then found not to be in good health, Seller will resume possession if this is agreeable to both parties. Seller does not accept responsibility for contagious disease diagnosed after 3 days from date of purchase. Hip and elbow dysplasia and pathological spinal disorder is covered for 1 year from date of purchase with the same conditions as above in effect. Your dog has been tested and examined for many conditions to assure his health. Heat stroke, exhaustion, dehydration and other heat related conditions are not covered in any way. Remember that a Bulldog can over heat quickly and easily and may die as a result of over heating. He/She must be a indoor dog.

The Buyer's Responsibility:
The Buyer agrees to take good care of this dog, feed and house the dog properly {indoors}, maintain shots, control the dog on a harness or leash when in public and when off the premises of the dog's home. The dog's outdoor area will be fenced in and secure, or acceptable provisions will be made to assure the dog is safe any time he/she is outdoors. Buyer agrees to give the dog proper physical and emotional care and welfare. The buyer must agree to housing the dog indoors as its primary housing. If the dog is found to be allowed to run freely, running at large, creating a public nuisance, or found to be neglected, abused or allowed to live in poor health or poor conditions the Seller has all rights to repossession of this dog with no refund to the buyer. The death, injury or loss of said dog due to theft, carelessness, recklessness, abuse, neglect, heat stroke or accident will not entitle the buyer to any compensation from the seller.

This dog is warranted only for the purpose of being a companion animal, not for any other purpose or reasons. No warranty is given to the buyer for any special purpose or function of this dog. This dog is not to be used for any illegal or immoral activities and is not to be used for any type of puppymill, dog farm or other mass producing or money making operation.
This dog is sold with limited registration (unless otherwise noted).
In the event the buyer is unable to keep this dog for any reason, the Buyer agrees to offer to the Seller the first chance to take this dog back. Buyer agrees not to sell this dog to any retail company or establishment. Any changes to this contract must be in writing and signed by both parties. This contract is legal and may be enforced by legal means at the buyers expense and all disputes must be settled in the state of Illinois. This dog is sold to you as a pet only and nothing further.
The Care and feeding instructions were given to you along with the health and shot records for this dog. Enjoy your new Bulldog!
This is the entire agreement (2 pages) between the parties and is valid and agreed to by all parties. All parties have read and understood and agreed to this contract in full by signing below.

Important things to keep your English Bulldog in great health:
-Annual Visits with your veterinarian. Make sure you find a veterinarian in your area that is familiar with this breed of dog.
-An air conditioned home. Due to the short length of their muzzles, all English Bulldogs suffer from brachycephalic syndrome. This is more serious in some individuals than others, but manifests itself as difficulty breathing. These dogs can’t tolerate excessive exercise, and some can’t run at all without experiencing severe shortness of breath. Owners have to be especially careful with these dogs during the summer months – keeping them in air-conditioned areas and not allowing them to overexert themselves – as they find it hard to breathe in hot weather and are more susceptible to heat stroke. These conditions are NOT covered in your contract.
-Do NOT over feed your English Bulldog. An overweight pet causes stress to joints and bones that is unnecessary. Your contract does not cover any diseases caused by an overweight dog. This includes heart disease, joint disease and dysplasia. For proper bone and joint support we recommend the following two products: Dasuquin w/MSM and Cosequin Double Strength Chews. When you use those two products you are doing a great thing for your fur-babies long term bone and joint health.
-Table scraps are a no no. There can be a lot of salt and other unhealthy food for your bulldog. Table scraps also cause an overweight issue. While we all love to “treat” our pets – make sure you are treating them to something healthy for THEM.

-The parents of your puppy do NOT have any allergies. I keep up with wrinkle cleaning and good coats. If you do not keep up with wrinkle cleaning you are going to have problems with your dog’s skin. A once a day wrinkle cleaning and tail check is the best for your pet. I use corn starch to keep the face wrinkles dry. I first wipe the wrinkle with a soft damp towel and then follow up with a little corn starch to the wrinkle. If you do not keep up with the wrinkles…the dog can develop skin conditions. These conditions are NOT covered in your contract.   Grain free dog foods are recommended to prevent tear staining on the face.

-I have DNA tested your puppies parents. I guarantee they are free from Degenerative Myelopathy Mutation (eye disease), Hyperuricosuria (stones) and Canine Multifocal Retinopathy Type 1 (eye disease). Your contract covers your puppy in case of those health problems.

Your contract does NOT cover cherry eye, entropion (the inward rolling of the eyelid), ectropion (the outward sagging of the eyelid), distichiasis (where extra eyelashes grow inside the eye rim and cause irritation), corneal ulcers (ulcers on the eyeball), and conjunctivitis (an inflammation of part of the eye, caused by infection or irritation). These are common problems in the breed and are not covered. These concerns can pop up at anytime during the lifetime of your pet.

These are my policies on my bulldog pups.  If you have specific questions, please inquire.
